Last Saturday we went to a coffee plantation. The plantation is owned by a retired American orthopedic surgeon who occassionaly helps out at Kudjip hospital. On the tour I learned a lot about coffee! As you can see in the picture coffee grows on trees. The coffe bean part that we are all so familiar with is actually a slimy, white nut found inside those red berries.
